Olfactory Design with Maurice

As a self described "modern-day alchemist-philosopher melding sense of sight and smell" Maurice joined the Saffron project with an incredibly inventive and immersive approach to scent design. From his office, and sometimes home, in Germany Maurice walked us through the many nuanced and alchemic (there's that word again!) elements at play in designing a signature scent. Raw and untraditional materials were delivered to his doorstep to deepen his understanding of a place he's never stepped foot in, including found segments of wildfire blackened animal bones and aged wood and metal remnants from farmers past.
